XR Team Focus Areas

Our focus is to continue and work with all industry sectors that are challenged by friction and wear.  In partnership through Field-Of-Use licensing within these industries, we can demonstrate how DiaGlide™ hybrid diamond bearing technology enables design robustness, “lower total cost of ownership” and environmental improvement focused efficiencies.


DiaGlide allows the designer to take a fresh look at new concepts and space utilization.  The outcome of this can be a stronger overall design as well as new space availability through design enablement to add other needed features such as electronics or to reduce complexity and possible later hazards by eliminating sealing systems and lubricants.  The unique physics of DiaGlide require cooling but no secondary lubrication to achieve low friction and wear coefficients.


We have expanded beyond our initial successes improving directional drilling equipment to embrace opportunities in bearing technologies. We continue to expand our IP portfolio as these new discoveries evolve, while staying focused on product design, development, and testing. 


Current specific focus areas:

  • Developing DiaGlide hybrid diamond bearing technologies for:
  • Positive displacement motor based directional and horizontal drilling technologies.
  • Green energy applications.
  • Mechanical systems including automotive, mining, machine tool, and aerospace applications.
  • Driveline and gearing applications.
  • Oil well pumping and lifting technologies.
  • Harnessing non-axial motor motion to enhance rock destruction.
